Auburn High students will represent Nova Scotia at the 2012 Canadian Ultimate High School Championships in Montrol on May 5-6th. Their coach, Mr. Colin Bush, has been organizing practices all spring to help prepare the team. Auburn High has won the last five Nova Scotia Ultimate High School Championships and this will be their first trip to the Canadian nations. Ultimate Canada added the high school division to national level competition in 2011.

DiscNS has supported Auburn with competitve player coaches and will be sending a coach to assist the team in Montreal. Halifax Ultimate also donated funds for practice time on the all-weather fields in Dartmouth. Competitive players from Halifax Ultimate helped run the outdoor practices and provided some competitve opponents for pratice games. Competition will be high at the up coming tournament and Auburn will be the underdog verses the top schools from Ontario, Quebec and BC where participation in youth Ultimate is booming. The team expects to put up some strong games and hold or improve upon their 6th place seed in the 16 team tournament. The experience will no doubt improve Auburn chances of winning a 6th Nova Scotia Championship in June. Good luck to all the player. Go Eagles!
