DiscNS Juniors
The DiscNS Juniors Committee is a subcommittee of DiscNS dedicated to promoting youth ultimate opportunities. At this time, disc golf opprtunities for youth are overseen by the Disc Golf Committee and integrated into local disc golf clubs.
Mission
DiscNS Juniors strives to provide low commitment, low cost, inclusive, and engaging opportunities to U19 ultimate players who want to develop their skills, meet new people, and participate in local frisbee opportunities such as practices, scrimmages & tournaments.
What does DiscNS Juniors do?
- Organizes and promotes the DiscNS High School Program.
- Connects high school coaches with opportunities for Utimate-spectific NCCP certifications offered in Nova Scotia by the DiscNS Coaching Committee.
- Facilitates the DiscNS Juniors team that competes in the Sunday League of Halifax Ultimate between June-August.
- Supports the New Scotland Blues, the provincial competitve ultimate club for athletes ages 14-18.
